Palm PCR™S1系統可以執行大多數的PCR 反應程序，如多組primer的多DNA片段、多基因的偵測，逆轉錄即時定量的Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) ，還有避免產生非特異性序列擴增的熱啟動聚合酶連鎖反應（Hot start PCR），皆能輕鬆執行。

即時定量PCR要的就是偵測結果的快速顯現 ，但有什麼會比現場採樣現地偵測更為即時的呢! Palm PCR™S1系統具備獨立的完全移動性，小巧簡潔的設計，配備可充電式鋰離子電池供電，每次充電電池可以連續進行4小時以上的PCR操作，可在高達40℃下的惡劣環境溫度中操作。

Palm PCR™S1 基本配備Ch1~5光學模組，Ch6為升級選購項目。Palm PCR™S1 e經濟型僅具備Ch1~3 的光學模組。

數據輸出分析
PalmPCR S1 可由USB輸出Excel 可開啟之CSV數據檔案，並連線電腦分析，電腦可安裝Palm PCR S1_Viewer 觀察數據。
CSV 數據檔案是一種通用的、相對簡單的檔案格式，廣泛的應用在不同應用程式之間轉移表格資料的格式，除了最基本的可匯入Excel ，亦可應用於其他統計軟體。

效能實測2 : Ultra-Fast Multiplex real-time Assay shows Extreme Sensitivity down to Single Copy
在9分鐘內同時進行CT / NG( CT : 披衣菌 Chlamydia trachomatis / NG : 淋菌Neisseria gonorrhoeae )的檢測， 結果顯示潛在的可能感染者可以在現場當下即時進行準確的測試，從而降低傳染擴散的風險。
